Am at work and need to order spring perches from Can someone tell me the diameter of the rear axle tube of an 1985 CJ-7? They don't know (guys who do are out of town Jeeping) and I never measured them.THX

I don't know the diameter, but when I bought my u-bolts, there was only onesize. There are two sizes for the front because one of them actually has tofit over the diff itself while th eother one only fits around the tube. Butthe u-bolts on the back both fit around the tube, so they are the same size.

funny thing here, this is actually 4x4.com they are the guys that told me they only came in the three inch radius. i'm on hold with 'em now waiting to purchase these. 2.5" is what i needed, i have no idea why they told me what they did yesterday. But I got 'em on their way now! Finally, Yahoo! Thanks Bill, funny how things work out huh?
