FSJ rear window lift channel

This weekend I patched together my rear window lift channel for the last time. It's more rust than metal and one of the brackets that engage the lifting mechanism is held on with JB weld (for broad definitions of "held"). Where have folks had good luck sourcing a new replacement lift channel?

Thanks!

If there is enough of the thing left to make a pattern, a local sheet metal fabricator may be able to help. In my experience there are people who can make anything for you, as long as you can explain it properly or provide some kind of template. Some of them are even the type, who welcome jobs like this as challenging and interesting. Yellow Pages, Sheet Metal Fabrication.

Another suggestion is to browse the building supply places for something that resembles what you need. Sliding shower door channel?

I remember a neighbor at Snoqualmie Pass, Washington whose full size Wagoneer had rocker panel problems. He fixed it with plastic of the type used for temporary storm windows, and spray foam. Some flat black spray paint, and it didn't look too bad. Those things sure had rust problems...

Thanks Earle, there is a really great machine shop here that I know could fabricate something at least as good as the original if necessary. Before I go that far though, I was hoping there was someplace I could just buy the part and have it ready for the next "opportunity". Some Googling turned up

and they have new channels for $55but someone mentioned they needed to do some grinding to get their postsengaged with the clips on top.
