heater core, remove from cooling loop?

Nov 06, 2012 1 Replies

If a heater core is leaking, is it possible to just somehow bypass the entire heater core in the cooling loop? I don't really need a heater core in Southern California and it isn't worth the trouble to R&R it.

Yes. Just take one of the heater hoses off at the firewall and loop it back to the engine. Or make a shorter hose to connect the send and return lines.
