Spray on Hurculiner. That's the ticket. Thickness can be built up with multiple coats. Very even finish that isn't overly rough. I'd do it again in a minute. Looks great and doesn't add that much weight. I used 2 heavy coats and it only took half a gallon.

What type of prep work did you have to do?
The driver's seat and seatbelt?!?!?! Why are you herculining the front passenger compartment?!?!?! You're not planning on carrying your cinder blocks in the diver's footwell, are you?
I'm considering Herculining, but I would only be doing the truck bed portion of my vehicle. I don't know about you, but my feet aren't abrasive enough to worry about lining anything up front.
Do you own a Jeep? It's pretty common to line a jeep tub to help cut down on the wear-and-tear and rust...
Not sure if you're asking me, but.... To apply Durabak, which appears to be similar to Herculiner, you strip out the tub (natch) then what I did was carefully sand the entire area to be lined using medium scotch-brite pads. You then wipe it down thoroughly with Zylene thinner. After that dries you roll on the Durabak using the textured roller, let each coat dry for 3-4 hours until it's not tacky. I applied three even coats.
One thing to watch out for, it's hard to get the roller to stay pliable after it's used, even if you soak it in Zylene. I ended up having to run to the paint store and got 2 replacements, which weren't exactly the same but worked fine nonetheless.
One other thing, the stuff stinks like Hell for a few weeks afterwards. And I mean STINKS! I put it on over a year ago and it's now completely odorless. It's really held up ell and looks great.
Harbor Freight undercoating gun. When I did mine they were like $8.00. Cheap enough not to clean, just toss and use a new one for each coat. Spray a light coat to start, then build up with heavier coats.

I think they have on the exploder forum. They get soooo many hits a year on it.
I did mine a few weeks ago. Love it! I was always running without the carpets in and had noticed that my foot had worn a spot to the metal near the accelerator. Also had some decent scratches in the other footwells and especially in the rear cargo/seat area. I had a galvanized box made last winter that fits in the back but leaves room up front for a cooler and I can put the tonneau cover on over it. I did the tailgate also because the box doesn't have a door on it and everything I have in it bangs against the 'gate. It seems to also help with reducing the heat from the transmission 'hump'. I will echo a previous poster in saying that it is difficult to clean out after wheelin'. Oh well....Like it was ever really clean before!
It will just take a little longer then.

I plan to keep this one for a long time so I went ahead and lined it for protection mostly. In my previous TJ, I had taken the carpets out & the paint quickly wears where you feet rub against it constantly. The Rhino also helps dissapate the heat a little... without it, that hump get VERY hot.
The guy did a great job on it... runs all the way up the sides & matches my charcoal interior perfectly.

There is also a product called Reflex, it's in my TJ, but I don't know where it's availabl except in New Hudson, MI. I have Line X in the bed of my Ford truck, and I would not want it in the passenger compartment of a Jeep...the texture has a lot of bite to it. The Reflex is much more rubbery. And they can do color matching...though the stock blue was a dead-on match for my TJ's Patriot Blue.
Give it a few more years and people will wonder why the French are synonymous with freedom :-)
