I liked it in my TJ tub, Had it for a year and a half, I also had it on my bumpers would not do that again, would use POR on something like bumpers that got hard hits and scraps.

$100 a gallon! damn. Checker AUto sells it for $79 a gallon and they have a $20 rebate goign right now. It's the best of the do it yourself stuff out there.

I've tried the Durabak before, essentially its just a heavy paint, didn't hold up well at all for me. The Herculiner actually has tiny bits of rubber in it, and it's polyeurathane, extremely tough stuff. Except for the thickness, it's hard to tell the difference between it and Rhino lining.

Ah... I post here enough that he should know that I am just some guy asking questions (Besides, my post was obviously asking why herculiner was so expensive... I must not be a very good salesman!)... I see people asking questions about products all the time here. I even *think* I've seen Bill recommend specific products. Now if I were to come here and tell you how great EMC storage was, THEN you'd know I'm selling something!

Yes, there was a special roller (very coarse) to give it the texture. Maybe I didn't have the same stuff as you, but on the can it depicted a truck bed being done.

Yeah, the stuff I got had a "stippled" roller (or so they called it) which made the granules in it stand up. Remains to be seen how well it will last long term, I'd hate to have to get it off there though!

I Rhino lined my TJ a few months back. Local guy charged me $400 if I took everything out of the Jeep except the driver's seat & seatbelt. Did a great job & looks good. I asked him how much weight he thought that would be & he said it would only be about 40 lbs or so. Seems fairly lightweight on the small pieces I had to trim to get the seats and console back in so I'd guess he's about right.

Did you leave the drain holes open or Herc over the plugs?

Did you take all the seats and brackets out? Roll bar?
