Herculiner Anyone?

Has anyone out there used herculiner on a Jeep? How hard was it? Does it look as good as the professional jobs?

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Yep.

The hardest part is taking everything out of the interior of the Jeep.

Nope, but it doesn't look bad, either. I personally prefer to use a brush since it doesn't leave the coarse surface that the roller does. Also plan on using more than you thought. I have a bit over a gallon of the stuff in mine.

I also did my pickup truck bed with it, and I am not nearly as happy with it there as I am with it in the Jeep. I've managed to gouge it in a few places in the truckbed loading and unloading, although I was using a forklift when some of the damage occurred. The pallet got a little sideways and scraped against the fenderwell. No damage to the metal but it took off the liner down to the primer. The floor of the Jeep doesn't get that sort of abuse so it is holding up better.

I used it to coat the inside of my CJ5. It took just a little bit less than a gallon and I'm really happy with how it came out. Here's a few pictures:

to near the bottom to see the Herculiner stuff)It wasn't hard at all for me since the only things I had to take outwere the two front seats. It took about 4 hours total including thetime waiting between the first and second coats. I bought a gallonand an extra quart of the stuff, not knowing exactly how much I'dneed. I plan on doing some touch up work to it soon to hit a coupleof spots I didn't get as good of coverage on as I'd have liked tooriginally. If I buy another Jeep, I'll use Herculiner again.

Without looking at the link, I'm going to guess it's the story about the guy that got herc on his "hootus". Now to go see if I'm right. n.
