97 tj wrangler .manual..........need to find an engine for it

If the donor vehicle has a manual transmission, you should be OK if you are just going to swap the motor. If the donor vehicle is an auto, you'll need to replace the flexplate with a flywheel. Some folks have swapped in the XJ

4sp auto into TJ's with good effect.
