Was that the sound barrier being broken? Sounds like a race car......, looks likea race car...... must be a race car!

285hp out of a 3.5 liter engine. Still amazed at that after driving my
4.0liter GC for 50,000 miles

20 inch racing tires. Man does this thing change lanes in a hurry. Rides like it's on rails.....

Alas, it only drinks high test gas. I don't think they have a newsgroup either.

Darn the luck, I knew it was too good to be true.......

So if I trade in my JGC for this rice burner your not going to answer any tech questions?

What a ride, not like any Jeep I've ever been in.......

Mr. Hughes, you don't dislike the Japanese or their cars? Do you?

Looks like a *race* car? Yuck. The ugly stepsister of the Murano, which is japanese for "pile of excrement". I've seen better looking Preparation H suppositories with more artistic merit.

3.5 litre and only 285 HP? You couldn't even get into the back row with that crappy rating.

Probably a really good idea to keep it that way, only drive on roads as flat as a railroad grade. Keeps you from needing to be pulled out of the muck by a mere 2.5 litre wrangler 4 banger.

They do. rec.autos.buttfugly.wankermobiles

Brian Foster proclaimed:

Try the TurboJag engined Land Rover, or Range Rover Sport. Only another .7 litre and over 100 more hp.

I've owned a Datsun 2000 and an RX7, not bad cars. Neither was worth a crap off the pavement.

The pendulum is starting to swing in the other direction:

So what does that make the Jeep 4.0 liter that gets lower power & torque? A hamstermobile?

No, nor am I under any delusions that I could either :)

Jeep went buy buy today. 3.5 good years, 51K miles. Can't bitch much, it was reliable, cheap transportation. Now the FX35 sitting in the garage.......... FUN!

How do they get so much power out of an engine that size? Yehaaaaaaaa! This thing hauls ass!

Bill, thanks. You've always been very helpful. Straight shooter with great insight. Much appreciated.

Let us know when you sell it. God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto: snipped-for-privacy@aol.com

You're right, I did buy the Jeep for it's sex appeal, performance, and handling........... not!

One thing I have learned about the Infinity FX ; virtually no fence sitters as far as appearance goes. People either love em or hate em.

Brian proclaimed:

Rather well suited for rough terrain crawling.
