Oil leakcoming from top Of Oile Sending Unit help! ?

Hello,

Thanks for the help everyone with my oil pressure problem. I found that it is the oil sending unit as expected.

The problem is that the wire/connector going into it is popping out. It is connected but it has like a little rubber thing that slides into the top of it with thte 2 wires going through it. I can push it back in and then when the jeep is cranked it pops back out and out comes the oil oozing.. My problem is I followed it back just a bit and it is connectoed to other wire that run somewhere else. Anyone have an idea how I will change that piece. I hope I explained it ok.. If it doesn't make sense I will try to explain it differently..

thanks again..!!!!

Shawn did pass the time by typing:

The sender is bad.

What's happening is the little metal diaphram in there has sprung a leak and oil is getting through. That pressure buildup is popping the connector off. You need a new sensor.

The wires stay with the Jeep, you need the metal part, the sender.
