After four years of reading "what are the largest set of tires I can put on a Stock XJ" messages and reading about ProComp tires vs. others, I can post some personal experience.
2000 XJ Sport w/ UpCountry lift. Stock tires were the 225/75-15 Goodyears. Replaced after 45,000 miles. Took a chance on the ProComp A/Ts 30x9.5-15's.
There is, as predicted, minor rubbing at full-lock. At worst, annoying, during daily driving activities. The tires saw a nice snow storm yesterday and performed very well. Put me in the "fan camp" of the ProComp A/Ts.
I know it's only a half inch of difference, but they do look larger ("better") in the wheel wells than the Goodyears did.
