Question From a Potential JEEP Wrangler Buyer

I have The BBD, no computer, a stock manifold and a straight pipe with a Dynomax 'super turbo' muffler , no cat (not required on a CJ in Canada), an Accel 'SuperCoil' and have wicked pull to 4500 where it just stops.

No wind up for a shift, just a plain flat wall stop within about a 50 rpm band. A governor couldn't work better....

It squawked nice going into second at 45K and likely would have chirped

Well....I was half correct! I can get 4500 in the lower gears easy but in 4th all I can muster is around 3500. Sorry for the goof I got a lil key happy. My computer is disabled and i've got a nice ignition system to boot.

Hey Bill

I went to that website and even @ 3k you would need 223....now we can all pull that. I'd bet money we are all reading RPM's on stock tach's. Lord knows I am...which makes me look a lil stupid:) I've never had stock tach that was even close.

My tach (stock) reads the same as my hand tach and the tach on my timing light.
