About half way home from my local wheeling club meeting, my Jeep started
>choking and skipping and pretty much bucking like a wild Bronco! Then
>spent the next hour driving about 200 yds at a time. I would get it
>started, drive about a 100 yds fine then the motor would start cutting
>out, then would finally die. I sat along the rode for a while, for
>about the 4th time before another guy in a Jeep stopped and offered to
>help. He took me to get some gas, gas gauge does not work, but I had
>only gone 110 of my usual 170 miles between fill ups. Tried adding gas
>but that did not help. Got it started one more time and made it another
>half mile where it would not restart at all. He then offered to tow me
>the rest of the way home, about 3 miles. Got almost home, when going
>around a corner I did not brake enough and I ended up running over my
>tow strap, scuffing it pretty good.
>Went out this morning and it started fine, but is idling a little
>rougher. Going to try to replace plugs, wires, cap, rotor & fuel
>filter. Anything else I should check?
