Looks like the heat shield over the catalytic converter. You should put it back on or you might melt your carpeting.

That's what I'm thinking. Get under the jeep and see if there are corresponding hold-downs just above the cat. If there is then you will need to secure that shield back on.

Since the holes will be too large you will need to take one of the bolts out and take the washer down to a hardware store. Get a fender washer or similar that has the same hole but about another 1/2" in width. You might be able to fabricate a few out of a tin can if your handy that way.

Or burn through your wing on re-entry!
