How often do you clean the TJs throttle body ? And with what ? (I note it isn't in the factory service manual as a task)

They sell spray TB cleaner, something like the old carb cleaners, but with different chemicals. If you do it every couple years, it shouldn't get bad enough to need a total tear down for a long time.
I usually have a look at it when I change air filters. Mine was bad enough I had the dealer do their fancy complete clean on it just after I got it, but that was due to a dead CCV valve.
I have let mine go and checked it the other day and it is past time for mine to have a good spray, it's been over 4 years....
