Trackbar issues, Vol 123,456,789 part II

Here's the story (for those that may have missed it):

00 XJ LTD, 30k miles, and a 1.75" (more like 2') spacer/shackle lift. I've had death wobble issues since day 1 of installing the lift (They are at their worst on a rough patch of highway that she travels regularly). I've had it aligned (including caster adjustment), I've tried an adjustable trackbar (but they don't make one short enough, that I know of -- the difference is TINY), I've tightened, re-tightened, and oh, did I say tightened the trackbar down? I did it so much I snapped the bolt... the tie rod and ends are good. I have a new Old Man Emu steering stabilizer on it.

I've checked tread depth and they are close as close can get. I checked air pressure. One is about 1/2 psi off from the other, but I'm using a cheap-o pen style guage, so 1/2 one way or the other could just be error from the guage.

What the heck can I do? My wife would like to keep the lift. She kind of likes it that way. However, if it means slamming on the brakes one more time in the middle of traffic -- it isn't worth it (luckily, our 9 month old wasn't with her). The tires are on 16" rims and are 214/75R16s. Obviously bigger than stock (although the rims ARE stock). We didn't buy them, they were with the vehicle. They rub like crazy just coming in and out of our driveway.

Here are my options as I see them:

  1. Keep the lift and risk my wife's lift. Not a real option...
  2. Take the lift off, get another alignment, and let the tire rub the heck out the fenders until one of the two give way for more clearance.
  3. Same as #2, but get smaller tires. She's not going off-road anytime soon (although, that WAS her intent when she bought it....). I think the number of broken parts on my TJ has scared her away from that for a while...
  4. Fix it SOMEHOW?!?

Thanks, guys.
