Zipper Lube ?

Was wondering what everybody uses to lube the zippers, On the soft top that is.

drysuit wax, go to any scuba shop.

Dow Corning 55 O-ring Lube and any other thing that is plastic or rubber.

I would stay away from soap as soap can tend to break down plastic over time. I used to be a polyethylene R&D guy and we used a soap+water (Igepal specifically) solution to test failure rates due to breakdown of the molecular weight of the poly backbone chains making it embrittled. I would go with the wax. Tomes

Not sure what wax you have been using but I've found that actual drysuit wax stands up a lot longer to just plain paraffin plus it's more pliable, and it's cheap anyway whats a couple bucks?

a stick would last probably 5 years...anyway, im saying it's an option. and it's probably not much more than paraffin. I'm pretty sure almost anyone could afford the $2.00, but you are right, that is a gallon of gas...
