I just bought a used 2001 Kia sportage! First of all it did not pass inspection :-(. It looks good and it runs good though.
Are Kia Reliables after 100k?

I bought a 2000 Kia Sephia LS with 105k at a car auction back in June,
2007 for $1700. Since then I've put 7000 miles on it and it runs perfect. Not as fast as I would like, but then again its not a Porsche. With regular oil changes, belt changes, etc I plan on putting another hundred thousand miles on it. Definitely changed my opinion on Kia's for the better.josepimathtutor wrote:

My 2000 Kia Sportage just turned over 200,000 last week with regular oil changes and normal repairs. It has been a great little car for work and for road trips.
If you don't know the maintenance history, make the investment to change the timing belt. It could break between 60,000 and 90,000 miles and if it does, you throw away the engine!
