Rustproofing

Aug 18, 2010 4 Replies

I just a bought a brand new 2010 Kia Sportage,.

I live in the Northeast. Would it be worth rustproofing the Sportage? Do you know if the factory warranty would be affected?

Your help would be appreciated.

Joe.

Personally, I'm surprised anyone still tries to offer this. The days of after-market rustproofing passed years ago, about the time two- sided galvanized steel came into almost universal use on autos.

Now I have noticed that some older Kias do have trouble with road salt corroding some parts. But none of the problems have anything to do with something that can be rustproofed.

Just WHENEVER it gets warm enough > I just a bought a brand new 2010 Kia Sportage,.

Thank you.

Agreed. We have an '02 Optima with 130,000 Chicago miles on the clock. No rust.
