1989 2.5TD boost control diaphragm replacement?

Aug 18, 2003 1 Replies

Is it possible to replace this & have the pump re-calibrated without removing it from the vehicle? Looks like a major job to get it out ,timing belt removal etc ...eek! (Quoted £250 locally for the removal / replacement of the pump + £200 for the diaphragm and calibration of the unit)

Anyone done this job themselves?

Jon

A main dealer or good specialist will have tools to remove pump without disturbing the timing belt. May be cheaper overall to pay their labour rates?
