Since the flood wading exercise, the 300tdi has an annoying squeak at tickover coming from the belt / something on the belt.
As soon as the revs pick up it stops.
Can you lube the tensioner's without taking them off?

Sealed bearings, you need a new tensioner, easy to fit.

I use graphite dust, from a locksmiths. Quick spray onto the pulley and all's well.
Comma (IIRC) make something called Belt Dressing. Miracle stuff in an aerosol can that you squirt on the belts when they start that annoying creaking 20 minutes after you've replaced the old ones that were driving you mad with their annoying creaking ;-) Much better than WD40 for that job.

Only a short term solution; most likely due to worn tensioner allowing the belt to move on the pulley. Check it's not the water pump by dribbling water on the belt, no squeak for a few seconds and not then the pump. Mine squeaks merrily in damp weather ( just lazy , am I ! )
Have heard that OEM belts are better but not sure if thats true ?

More likely than not a new belt will cure it. Use genuine landrover belt number PQS000030 for pre "TA" chassis prefix or PQS000040 for the later ones. These belts are made by "Gates" if you can find them.
Cut the 6th groove off the belt and refit with uncut edge in slot 1 nearest the engine - works every time with any belt, dont worry it wont break and still pumps everything ok... the squeak will stop after the first couple of miles and never return
