Cylinder head gaskit.

My Series One has blown the cyilender head gaskit between 1 and 2. Now bearing in mind that I am a compleat numpty and I have lost my manual for the thing what would I have to dismantel to take the head off inspite of what it says in the book ( remove rear propshaft type things!).

It is a 2ltr slant head inlet over exhast ( or 'tuther way round!)
