Day trip to Warsaw....

Well all I can say is Land Rover really can build cars that work :) 2300 miles, no dramas, no problems - and an average of 18.9mpg which is not bad when you consider how much autobahn/de-restricted roads there were and we were tootling on the limiter (135mph).

Got a *lot* of odd looks tho, and did not see a single Range Rover on the journey from France through Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and Poland, or on the way back! Saw a few Brit ones at the tunnel terminal tho. I got pulled out on a few times - the end result being the other drivers pulling back across because that 3 ton tank really was going that fast :)

Fuel costs were fairly random ... 1.4 euros in Germany per litre, yet under a quid in Poland just over the border! Warsaw was different - not as I had imagined, but it was grey hehe.

We just recently got back from a trip down to Lake Como, return via Interlaken Switzerland, Quick squizz through Germany up to Strabourg then back up via Calais. Our trip wasn't as straigh forward with a injector failing. Sorted by the French without drama, the Italian garage on the other hand had the car for four days, did jack other than leave the sun roof open during some real bad thunderstorms - muppets!

Like you say you get some real odd looks the further away from Solihull you get. Especially at 7500ft.... with the caravan on :o)

Surely not done in a day - but most impressive anyway

What Landy ?!

No, not in a single day, but we only stopped for a day (a wedding). It was in my 4.2 SC RR ;-) It's final long run before I get my hands on the new 5.0 SC :) :) :)

oooo suits you sir!

Is Piglet still knocking around Neil?

Lee D

Fly next time Neil, its cheaper.

Mike

Mike,

It isn't cheaper at all. Not when there are 4 of you and the date is dropped on you at the last minute....

I guess the last minute bit can make a difference, I was thinking of what it cost two of us to fly to Krakow and back booked well in advance. It cost me more to park the car at the airport than it cost (including taxes) for one of us to fly there and back!!!

Mike

Think about the carbon emmisions too. The RRSC will have kicked out far less per person. We are environmentally concious you know ;0)
