Defender heater matrix upgrade

People Hi,

I would be grateful if someone could advise me of a source for an upgraded heater matrix for Defender vehicles.

Thanks in advance Pantelis

bah, try a series III heater if you want ineffectual.

actually, first of all, if the heater's not performing, try swapping the pipes over into the matrix so it flows the other way. This often produces results, and is dead easy to do and costs nothing, so you don't feel too cheated if it doesn't work. I've had it work on several things now though. Must try it on the SIII.

Austin Hi,

thanks for the tip. I will ask the owner of the D90 with the less then expected performing heater to try the trick of swapping the pipes and I will let you know.

Take care Pantelis

Tom thanks for that.

I actually represent SR here in Greece but as we all know they buy those from another source and I figured someone might know it.

Take care Pantelis

It's worked on 2 vehicles with me. 's one of those things - if it doesn't work, you've wasted about 10 minutes and a bit of coolant. If it does you get the satisfaction of having fixed the motor for nothing.

Tried it on the SIII, hasn't made any obvious difference, but then again, the heater's probably knackered anyway on the SIII.

hmmm. wonder if a defender heaterbox will fit on an SIII bulkhead? There's not a lot of differnce in the bulkheads, really.

hmmm. wonder if they do a decent matrix for an SIII heater? I could arrange more airflow by fitting a scoop to the inlet, but that won't make more heat, just more draught.
