Door?

Nov 24, 2007 1 Replies

I have a 1999 Land Rover Discovery and the driver's side door is drooping.

It bumps the body of the vehicle when you shut it. Anyway, the noise that I hear when I drive down the highway is driving me crazy.

I don't even know where to start. I looked at the hinges on the door and they appear to be held on with a pin? There doesn't appear to have anything that I can tighten up.

Does anyone have any experience with the doors drooping and how to fix them? Any suggestions as to where to start, where to look, or what a possible solution might be, would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Jason

Open the door and try to lift it. If you can feel more than a small amount of play, the hinges have had it. If not, the hinges may have slipped and re-alignment may cure it. I don't think the D2 has renewable hinge pins lke the Series/Defender Landies. I'm pretty sure there is no adjustment possible.
