ex MOD 110 V8

I had a chap knock on the door and ask if I'd sell my 1989 110 V8 with lpg conversion.

It's a bit of a work horse with dents and such and some tin moth around the bulkhead but has been remarkably reliable for 120k miles, 8 months MOT left but I haven't used it for 3 years barring driving to test. I was surprised to only be offerred a grand, am I being greedy?

No, he's being cheeky.

Old Land Rovers in running condition and with an MoT are worth considerably more than that.

In fact their value has recently gone up quite a lot, possibly because of the price of scrap.

Aluminium alloy is selling for about three quid a pound at the moment...

Sorry.

Three quid a Kg

Anyone who knocks on the door like that is looking for a mug. I had a similar try-on with my caravan when I had it parked on the front one day. Offered £2.5k for a van worth about £4.5k Ebay is your friend. Plenty there to give you an idea of what it's worth.
