FREELANDER (Best) Tire sizes ?

Apr 29, 2004 6 Replies

Hi,

Ive just aquired a Freelander Commercial TD4 as a ompany car. Its been used for road use upto now, but now it needs to do some mild off-roading as well as have good motorway manners.

My 90 has BFG AT's on and i find them an excellent compromise. What is the biggest size i can put onto a stock freelander without the tyres catching anywhere?

thanks jon

That is obviously a joke, and a bad one at that. Sorry Jon!!!

standard size on a freelander is 215/65. 16 inch rim. optional are 195/80 on a 15 inch rim or 225/55 on a 17 inch rim.

gives you something to start with...

if you have a 15 inch rim you could go to 215/75.

Well - cut away enough bodywork and you could do it.

And end up with a Freelander looking like a JCB FastTrak
