Springs

Well,

Got my Scorpion Racing E2 kit fitted today and the handling has improved quite a bit. I'm still getting twitchy steering so I'm considering an updated steering damper as well.

However I now have four springs off a 1993 200TDi Discovery that I could do with getting rid of.

They're in OK nick - no noticable sag when they were fitted to the car.

Paddocks are looking for £20+VAT each for these so would anybody be interested in these at £12 each?

Drop me a line to pol at geekstuff dot tv if you're interested

P.

have you replaced it? the one on my 110 was completely buggered, did absolutely nothing. Putting a new elcheapo one from paddocks on it has improved it no end.

Not yet. THat's next on my list, but not really something I can get done this week.

what are the symptoms of a duff steering damper on a power steering

110?

bloody great shimmy when you hit a bump at speed. That's what mine did, anyway. Otherwise, not much.

Hmm, I get a bit of that sometimes in mine. Should they show resistance to movement like other shockers? I may have to pull it off to take a look.

Yes, they're essentially the same device (though not necessarily interchangable).

the one I took off had absolutely no resistance whatever, on account of all the oil was missing... the new one, quite a lot, I thought, for what it's doing. not quite as stiff as a suspension damper for a LR, but not far off.
