Freelander tow electrics

May 22, 2004 0 Replies

Have just fitted a towbar to my freelander and am about to do the electrics - I have found a connector in the rear of the vehicle which I know is where I connect the electrics, and it has both the male and female side of the connector.

Question is - is it just a case of pushing the sheathed wire into the connector or do I have to cut the sheath of the wire back and use special tools to crimp it - it just doesn't seem obvious to me how you make a permanent connection?!
