I'm praying now that it's just a bug and not something contageous, so far so good. We're watching the Lapland weather forcasts with a keen eye whilst reading the travel insurance cancellation small print with another keen eye.

But Shhhhhhh! it's a secret!... That Huge Blizard hopefully will strike some where about here...

Be my first time on a plane too, did the works helicopter last month (still got the skid marks to prove it! ;-) )... it's the warmest winter in Finland for 40 years apparently - last week there was NO snow :-(

Hope we manage to pull it off I hate working Christmas, especially now we have kids, I've got Chrimbo Eve and Chrimbo day to work too so this hopefully is our way of making it up to them.... besides that I'm a big kid and they do some ace stuff!

I've got the server monitoring system at work set to page me at 30 minute intervals from 9am onwards on xmas day - the moment I'm sick of the visitors I'll head to the office on 'urgent business'. I've got cake, mince pies and scotch waiting on my desk, and a couple of mates who will likely to be happy (for similar reasons) to come and help me sort the problem.

Right my girl. Get yourself on a plane to Auckland in time for xmas day and come and join the 45 odd members of my wifes family who are descending on my small house for the day (not to mention the 5 who are staying). Either you'll keep me sane or you'll go quietly insane at the same time as I do - it'll be fun either way.

I swear this is the last time I'm doing xmas with any sort of family, in future I'll make a point of being in a different country.
