I am busy having above engine rebuilt and have been unable to get the injector pump timing settings anywhere. I am not too clued up on diesels yet, but I am told that it is a setting that involves a dial gauge being inseted into the rear of the pump and would probably include some mention of angle eg Xmm@12degBTDC or similar.
As an aside, I am very impressed with this engine in the landy. Before the rebuild I was regularly returning 10l/100km and the power is fairly similar to the petrol six that it replaced. With the correct adaptor plate etc, it fits in quite nicely. I am not too sure how it would fit into a standard series wagon, as mine (the SerIII R6) has the flush front grill (same as stage 1 V8) but I would not hesititate to recommend it if economy and not massive power is your prime consideration.
If anyone can turn up info on the injector setting, I would be much obliged.
