It's a tiny planet

Blimey, just doing some staring out of the window and wondered how many times I'd have driven round the earth in my landy if I'd gone in a straight line for it's 177,000 miles, 7 times apparently! About

25,000 miles around the planet, I reckon I do that slightly less than once a year..

The moon, at its furthest point, is about 253,000 miles, has anyone's truck made it yet? Any made it there and back?

I had a series 2a that we (conservatively) calculated had done 462,000 miles!!!

Of course, there wasn't much of the original vehicle left by that time :-)

Crikey, so it's a Lunar (Land)Rover, and well on its way home, hope you can get all the dust out ;-)

That's about the same distance my father's 2a that he bought new in 1961 has covered.

On or around Fri, 30 Oct 2009 13:14:58 +0000, Ian Rawlings enlightened us thusly:

My 110 got to the moon, though not with me driving it the whole time. Since Puffernutter is rebuilding it, I exepct one day it'll get back.

I know a chap who has a series I 107" which had, last I heard, done over

450,000 miles, all bar the first bit in his ownership.
