Just getting to grips with my first proper Land Rover which I picked up this week (V8 90 CSW) after being spoilt with a Disco 2 and 3 in the past. Fantastic car and great fun but today it rained and yes you guessed it leaked! Leaking badly into the passenger footwell, I think it is coming in from the bulkhead as it is a bit rotten behind the facade and has been filled with silicone in the past. My idea is to dig out all the flaky stuff at the back of the panel just above the door hinge (still seems solid at the front) and fill the void with a body filler before painting and then maybe applying a thin strip of silicone. As a total novice does this sound reasonable and is it likely to stop the leak???
Also, the rear wiper stopped working. It got stuck on the soft spare wheel cover and now won't work, is it likely to have fused or will it be the motor that's burned out?
Thanks in advance!
Andy
