Twas Wed, 07 Jan 2004 19:21:22 +0000 when Austin Shackles put finger to keyboard producing:

I shall look into that, there are a few petrol stations nearby and a car dealership (nissan) that have a pump outside their workshops..

Sh*t, sorry - I'll have a look.

In the meantime I'll put the individual scans from the instructions here:

(may take a few minutes as I'm sending them via my laptop, there are

36 files in total).

I've just downloaded it ok on Charlottes machine. What error did it report? The individual scans are currently going onto the server anyway :-)

Somebody please make this into a s*dding .pdf!

S'ok Martyn - I've bitten and I'm all over it!

7Mb ZIP file on route to my server now - gizza minute. Then I'll do a PDF. More than a passing interest as I cannot get on with this bloody diesel malarky - there are any number of V8's on ebay for a couple of ton which seems far more sensible. Mind you if you got your finger out and put a V8 in Ziggy there'd by a 2.25 petrol going spare...

Another alternative, well two:

Try a local tool hire company or someone who refills camping gas type bottles. One here (Porterplant near Bramhall Lane for those near Sheffield) is always a good 3 to 5ppl cheaper - and they do the filling (no need to wedge my bit of wood against the side of Grumble!)

The other, probably not totally legal I guess and HM C&E may not be that happy, is to get a home heating system on LPG with a huge tank (if you have space). The main problem with this is the top takeoff, however ISTR a company doing a fix somewhere.

Alas, GetRight doesn't think that your server supports resuming, so unless I can get a really good connection for 2 hours, I'll have to abandon it :-(

Let me know if you ever get fed up with boring barcodes, won't you :-)

I've put the new .zip up, look forward to the .pdf

I may just bite the bullet, wrench the heartstrings and sell Ziggy.

Seems a shame, having spent so much money not to enjoy the labours, but I've got to start looking at making roadspace... New additions looming...

Tim has a better version on his site, mirrored on mine in the same directory.

You can't afford me. And boring?

Of course you could just lease it for peppercorn rent to someone with loads of roadspace...

Buy land, or put him in storage for a bit. I quite fancied 13 acres locally which had some sheds at one end. Only agricultural use, but good for storing the odd motor and walking my dogs.

Pah, "good" - its positively indecent.

Our illustrious Chancellor said that the duty would rise over a number of years, not all at once. If he spreads it over 3 years then the savings can still be impressive - depending on your annual mileage, of course.

Now then, Tim's server supports resuming. He can't have some fly-by-night cowboy for an ISP :-)

I spent 15 minutes trying to get the FTP upload to work and then realised that I had been given a measly 20Mb quota! It's a good thing that I don't entirely trust the techies and make sure I know the root password.

8mb or thereabouts.

Does anyone know a decent tool that could do OCR on this stuff? It's dumb that so much text is in there as a graphic. The tool I tried just said 'not suitable for OCR', which is bollocks.
