MOT reminders

Just a heads up. I've had MOT reminders now for both a Renault (11 years old) and the FFRR (8 years old) from Main agents for both brands telling me the MOT is due on both vehicles. The thing is the MOTs weren't due at all. When I rang the Renault dealers to give the a round of F's they said the letters were based on the date of registration as such had no reflection what so ever on the true MOT due date. I've not rung Landrover as I no longer have the FFRR but I'm sure they are applying the same logic.

It struck me that people who don't pay quite so much attention to due dates may be dupped into an early MOT. So just a heads up!

Cheeky f'ckers.

I also have just been told, that my local sensible MOT place, won't be doing LR's any more, due to new rules regarding weight restrictions.

Someone also local, said that the commercial place he takes his trucks to, have a tester that is has poorer eyesight than most car testers!

Not sure if that makes me happy, or worried!

I used to have trouble finding a garage to MOT the 101. Ended up taking it to a Truck place in the end. Again due to the weight as it was a camper.

The local place sounds like its going to loose a bit of trade then as surely most 4x4's rack up to similar weights of a defender.
