New (to me) D90!! Advice on maintenance

Hi guys, I just bought a '94 D90 last week with 101,000 miles. I don't have a shop or owners manual yet, and I was wondering what sorts of things like belts, hoses, oil change, etc, I should do so it's current as far as routine maintenance stuff. I saw on East Coast Rovers about an oil cooler line that should be modified to prevent fires. Thanks for any help. Pete

Well, there's mods to the gearbox, transfer box and 300TDi timing belt that should have been done by now, I can't remember how to check for them, I think there's paint marks on various bits that are supposed to be added when the mods have been done. Hopefully someone with better memory will be along shortly.

But yes, go through the belts, check oil in swivels, axles, engine, gearbox, transfer box, check power steering fluid, coolant, brake fluid etc.

Not heard of that one... Don't think my 1994 Defender 110 even has an oil cooler!

I'm guessing you are in the US - in which case you will have a petrol engine (I don't think diesels were ever exported to the States) - is it the 4 cyl

2.5 or the V8? A lot will depend on your answer!

Yeah, sorry, the classic question without giving enough information for a decent answer. I am in the US, and it is the 3.9L V8 with the aluminum hard top.
