NOS or not .....

Busy having the 2.8i BMW powered 90 super charged .....whilst in bits and pieces, is it worth to consider NOS as an option ....or is it a curable itch?

Fitting copper clutch to dual mass fly wheel, ahead of a R380. Xfer ratio is

1.6 and diffs are ARB (both) with std side shafts. Rear prop is std with new UJ's and front is Disco II unit with new UJ's ... assume side shafts will break first? Rubber is 265 BF MT's.

NOS doesn't mix well with a supercharger.. but a quick squirt does wonders to spool up a nice big turbo :D This way you have no turbo lag and the turbo can be sized more for maxamum hp with out loosing the botom end. Toby

Man can never have too much torque ...unless said torque is delivered via LR drive line?

First order of the day : swap silly 2.8 for ' Vette 5.7 V8 48 valve, supercharge, NOS. Of course, you won't be going any faster as you will be required to schlep around a two tonne boat anchor (a Jeep Grand Cherokee will do fine) you can throw out of the backdoor when slight deceleration is required.

In news: snipped-for-privacy@4ax.com, Peter R. expelled:

Just the 2 valve per cylinder Australasian spec GM 5.7 would do - out of the box and fully emission compliant thay are 400hp and 380 ft-lb torque!
