Range Rover EAS - pressure gauge

Hi all,

Andy suggested the idea of getting an air pressure gauge made up to plug in to the EAS reservoir:

However, being a basically lazy person, I thought it might be easier to find somebody who could do the fiddly bits for me - I don't have the tools to do the tapping etc. And did I mention I'm lazy?

I've found a supplier who thinks they could make one up. I suggested a pressure gauge with a rubber casing (for when you drop it), on the end of a

2m flexible hose (so you don't have to lie under the car to read it), with a quick-release clip to plug it straight into a custom cap on the reservoir.

The supplier thinks they could run something up for about £40-50, depending on the finer points. I'm going to get one made up anyway, and Andy said he was interested. Is anybody else tempted?

I can get them for Classics too, but the thread size would be different. Can anybody confirm the exact size of the drain plug on a P38a reservoir?

20x1.5mm seemed a little vague, or is this all I need?

David.

There will be a recommended length as well, but you can always pull the existing one to measure. The LR tool is around 75 quid.

The perfect one would have a quick fitting into two different sized drain plugs, one for classic and one for P38A.
