Hmm. I do the same thing with mine, except it's a 101 ambi, gets you a good 8ft off the ground.

Hauling logs, loads of kids, garden rubbish, tyers ( to the tip) ,sofas ,tables , chairs, the contents of a flat ,fridges ,frezers and lots of other things and crap.

I also just jump in and drive it just for the feel good factor sometimes, and, lastly for recovering my mate who drives a 1965 j**p.

Saw a P38a HSE just this morning covered in ladders, dirt & the back full of paint tins etc. First painter's van I've seen with a bullbar, EAS & sunroof. So... would you hire him or not?

The Range Rover is generally Bruce's and doubles up as builders/carpenters vehicle, including recently renovated trailer. Kids allowed in by appointment only. Occassional tow car, regular visitor to the tip, often seen at B&Q.

The Discovery is mine, interior full of crap and Bruce has likened it to a mobile skip. General tow car for twin axle caravan and mover of 4 children and their friends. Often seen outside Asda in the middle of the night only. Long haul vehicle - Kent ususally, visiting Grandma.

Series 3 - will be a "no lid car" in the very near future, once the exhaust has been replaced and free wheeling hub has been repaired/replaced. Will be used to take children out - hopefully we'll loose them over the odd speed bump;-)

Last week I saw a Series III with 6 massive clear plastic sacks on it's roof, stacked in a pyramid formation which contained hundreds of aluminium cans. They were strapped on the roof rack to a height of about 5ft. It was travelling on the M1 north between J9 & J10 during the morning rush hour. Quite a sight I can tell you!!!!! Anyone know of it ?

cheers, Gavin

We used to get a man deliver Ox cheek once a week when we had the Staffordshire Bull Terriers, of which we had three at one time. Bruce used to cook it in the microwave. Put me off using the microwave to cook in. Couldn't stand the smell, or sight of it when I was pregnant, but they loved it.

Which junction numbers? J16 upwards on the M62 is part of my daily commute, I'll keep an eye out. Sadly I go on to Bradford, a bit far (70 miles each way) in a series Landy!

I use it to put balance in my life and to turn some screws. My passion to be different extends to my women ( I married a gal from South Africa), to tractor pulling (I'm the only one with a Ford on the pulling circuit), and now here I cruise through the neighborhood driving this critter that looks like a cross between a Mercedes and a Tonka Truck. It's all good I guess. What I will ultimately use this thing for I'm not sure? For now it just turns a bunch of heads, I like.

I use mine for everything, its the only car I have since January.

None of my friend say they would ever buy a LR but somehow I always end up driving them everywhere. I have become very popular as I got a 3/4 ton sankey trailer when I bought my 109.

I will tackling my first long run this weekend, 600 mile round trip. (£100+ fuel bill), wish me luck.

Generally running around. Caravan tower Dog transporter - 3x Bearded Collies - it's only a LandRover so who cares if it gets a bit mucky. Off road (gently - can't bring myself to trash it or even scratch it) Oh yes, intimidating BMW drivers esp on roundabouts Playing chicken with bus drivers down double parked streets.

Dont normally get quite as far as Bradford on the 62 in her......Ears would be ringing, and arm mussle's like "Popeye" on a journey that far!!!!, But upto Bury, Dewsbury, Batley & Huddersfield way on (where alot of our customers are etc) is quite common.

She takes some throttle control getting her up the upwards climb over Saddleworth moors I can tell you!!!!!! But then is all down hill idleing on the way back home towards Warrington which is where our works is. With the power plus cam and 90 flywheel though,.....she can quite confidently keep up with rest of the traffic for an old girl, overtaking the heavy HGVs and vans etc.

SIII SWB, light green, chrome modulars, and black NAS tilt (when it's on!) Oh, and BIG effin rope on front bullbar(for the *rare* occasion that it should breakdown!) Landrover breakdown.....NEVER!

So keep u'r eye's peeled.........and giv us a *wave* OR flash your spot's if you see us! I'll understand, and acknowledge you back!.........safe in the knowledge that's it just another absolutely MAD and whacky Landie type person.

Happy motoring!!!!!

Regards, John.

Well,

I've used my RR for moving house (3 times), extracting tree stumps (two off), taking crap to the tip, play days at various sites, recovering numerous tosspots at aforementioned play days, 'laneing, commuting to work and whizzing up and down motorways.

Marvellous, I wouldn't have any other vehicle :)

IMHO the RR is the most versatile vehicle in the world, but then I AM somewhat biased!!

I use mine to stop white vans parking outside my house, and to make sure the tarmac is kept well oiled.

It's amazing how many people forget to oil their tarmac. I always do mine when I change the oil...... Jon

Issac, aged 5, oiled himself last time he helped Bruce change the oil on the Discovery and Range Rover. Had to stand him in the plasterers bath outside in the garden and swarfegga him. Not sure which he enjoyed the most, the oil or being covered in green slime.

Are you sure it's a cat then? Might be a very large mouse...
