RR Classic Speedo Problem

RR Classic 'K' Reg 3.9 Catalyst.



Hi Guys,



Started car today and noticed speedo, tripometer and mileometer not working (they were, last thing yesterday) but tachometer is still working. Took out fuse and tacho stopped working too ... replaced fuse and only tacho working again.



Haynes says it's an electronic speedo on that model ... is it? And any ideas what the problem could be?



Me? Clueless, as usual!!

There's a short cable from the gearbox output to a small transducer/generator? fastened to the nearside gearbox mounting. Maybe cable is broken (unusual) or bad connection at the plug or more likely wires burnt through on the exhaust?
