Ok saggy Disco 2, blah blah blah (see my other posts for full details).

Had to park car in field at back of house due to visiting Grandparent. Was getting stuff out of it before christmas when i heard hissing sound from the back end. Checked the back left, no hiss, checked back right and lo and behold a defiante hissing sound from that airbag!!!!!. What a bugger.....i can only hear it with the car in the field due the the closeness of a main road when parked in it usual space. So cos of this i've had to apologise to lots of people who told me weeks ago it was a leaking bag......Ah well, so where's the cheapest place to get a new bag from and how does one depressurise the old bag to remove it. I'm thinking of supporting car/body and removing the air feed pipe.

It would be worth getting out the soapy water and confirming that it is a bag leak and not a piping/connection problem.

Or even making sure it wasn't trying to self level as it was parked on uneven ground in a field.

Agreed the bags ain't cheap. You wouldn't want to go buying one and not cure the problem...

That is certainly a possibilty as they do let air out as you off load stuff. That is a distinct hiss that normally doesn't go on for more than

10s or so before ending a small clunk and the exhaust valve is closed. This hiss is near side, rear of center, where the compressor is.

Depending on how much weight you are taking out will depend on how often it does it. At a very rough guesstimate it'll lower itself for every 30 to

40kg taken out.

The noise it makes when self leveling is totally different to when it was leaking. The leak sounded like a puncture in a bike inner tube to me. It's just self levelled after making a sort of pssssttt click noise. I resonably confident its the bag, just gotta prove it. Just been out in it so hopefully it will sink down over night and i can have a look see in the morning.

If you definitely need to change the bag, then the easiest way to deflate it would be a stanley knife, just make 110% certain you have the weight of the car firmly set on stands first.
