Free software, as in the free software foundation is _not_ about getting something for nothing - it's more about free as in 'freedom'. Having said that, the Revolution-OS DVD is not CSS-Encrypted, is Region 0 (Region Free) and is helpfully written onto a standard 4gig DVD... If anyone were inclined to copy it, it would - unlike any other commercial DVD, be very, very easy...
