Tyres

Jun 27, 2003 7 Replies

I have decided to replace the tyres on my hybrid. Currently running Bronco Diamond Backs which are fairly good in the goo, but having difficulty in deciding on a replacement. I would like some Simex Extreme / Jungle trekkers although the girlfriend has said no at nearly £1k for the full 5!!! Have seen BFG MT's in some serious goo, and didn't like the look of them in that situation (LRO Challenge at Hampton Peterborough, heavy clay) Current thoughts are progressing along the lines of the Grizzly Claw from Bronco, but still undecided. Ideally looking for ideas for when I get to Billing to see what I can find.

Ideal tyre will be able to cope with the worst that winter can chuck at it as I want to use the vehicle for some serious stuff during the winter....

Any thoughts or experiences much appreciated.

Simon

I'd want them to be diamond studded and for that amount;-)

^ and?

Eh? for 1,000gbp?

and your point is what, exactly?

You don't have Chatlottes' email address, do you?

That the diamonds would look far better as jewellery than on tyres which are going to take some serious abuse from the sound of it.

Not telling.

Someone has to point these thing out.

No they don't!

Fortunately Warren only takes cash, so the true extent of today's repair horrors will not be documented or held on any computer where Mandy might find it.

She is very nervous about Billing. We are camping with friends, one of whom has just spent >300 GBP improving his brakes.

On his bicycle!

I think we will be kept on a very short lead!

Yep, he's got three days down for it.

Paycheque today, thankfully. Running a 101 is a great weight loss plan - sweat like a pig while you drive it and you can't afford takeaways!

And then mine in for master cylinder replacement :-)

Are you calling me skinny?

Never...

Warren was giving me all sorts of ideas for future upgrades. I caught him in quite a chatty mood - I even got a coffee!
