Suddenly both my rear wiper and heated rear screen started to work intermittently leaving me to think new motor (Old Sodbury?!) for the motor and new relay for the screen and then I realised that I was getting an insufficient charge because the fan belt was clapped.
Belt has been replaced, battery fully charged and now wiper and screen work OK
Is this a coincidence or has the problem been solved??
