Where to buy ?

While at my local part place yesterday I asked about buying some of the rubber strip that LR fit between some panels. The part man reckons that he has never seen it listed as an available part.

Does anyone know where I can get some of this stuff?

TIA.

Not sure what you mean, but you can get neoprene off the roll at you local garden centre. Jon

Ah, it may be neoprene. Can't say I've ever noticed it at garden centres, I just wander round getting bored, keeping the kids in check and asking the missus if we can leave yet.

Maybe I'll have to pay more attention next visit, ta.

What are you sealing between?

On doors tops to bottoms I use VW Beetle wing beading because I have a roll.

The windscreen has a seal which is the same top and bottom however the bottom is longer so if you fit to the top it needs trimming.

The hardtop to rear tub seals are also available.

The only other bits of seal I've come across apart from the door frames are between the rests on the chassis and the rear tub crossmembers/floor strengtheners.

I need to replace a part of my high/low linkage that broke a couple of weekends ago, luckily on the last lane of the day. This means I have to remove the plate under the cubby box for access and I wanted to fit the strip to this to reduce noise and wear from vibration.

Also I want to take the floor panels out and remove some rust that has started to take a hold at the bottom of the footwells and the strut (?) that is behind the sills on the drivers side. I haven't removed the floor panels before but it looks as if there is some rubber strip sandwiched there, so I would like to fit new when refitting.

I've now spoken to two Landy places and one body shop supplier with no luck.

Someone must sell this stuff, surely!
