Winter good samaritan checklist

I'll offer to help you out here - by way of eating the Mars Bars, obviously :-)

A thought along similar lines: I haven't got round to getting a tow bar fitted to the Defender yet. Should I feel good natured enough to help a stuck motorist should I: a) wait for the feeling to go away? or b) offer some assistance using a suitable anchor point on the rear crossmember?

If b) is a realistic option, can the panel suggest a suitable rope anchor point? Grab handles have been fitted, but I don't want to have to re-fit them after good Samaritaning someone out of a ditch.

Suggestions without deviation, hesitation, repetition or routes involving Mornington Crescent would be appreciated.
