ES 300 Lexus Car Alarms

I recently had my starter in my lexus changed and now my car alarm will not let me drive my car. It thinks it is being stolen. Does anyone know how to disable a standard lexus car alarm? My mechanic has tried everything he could think of, including pulling out the fuse for the alarm.
