1.4 Duratec engine

Belt or chain? 99.9999% it's a chain. In a 53 plate Fiesta.

Belt. 100k replacement interval AFAIK.

Tim..

Bastard. Could have almost sworn it was a chain. Not a proper Duratec then? Just a Zetec S with a new name?

You know what Ford are like with naming conventions.

The message from Paul Giverin contains these words:

Unconventional?

The way to spot a PROPER duratec is the inlet and exhaust is reversed to what you think it should be.

Tim..

Ya, but then Ford go fling another spanner in the works and have all Sigma based engines looking like Duratecs! The 1.25/4/6's all have the inlet at the front :(
