106 no start probs

Almost certainly got water in teh ignition, take off the leads, dissy cap ETC, (make sure you note the order first!) dry out as best as possible using rags, then spray all round with WD40.

Pressing it reconnects it after it has been tripped by an impact. You cannot disconnect it by pressing.

Thanks, Have looked at the obvious - plugs are dry, no dist cap as it's got a block thingy which the HT leads go into & these are dry. Checked the lead that plugs into the block and the connectors are dry. Have looked and pried and dried and sprayed WD40 around obvious connectors. Will let it dry out some more then try again this evening.

When ignition is turned to first position or so (before turning engine over) there is a clicking noise from the ecu box (on front LHSide of the engine bay as you look at it) and a whirring noise for a second or so from somewhere else.

Think that I need to take a plug out and check for a spark BUT they are the deepset ones and I'll need to get a socket thingy for it ;-(

now dried out - just when I thought that it gets exciting again and have fun attacking the distributor cap again and trying to dry it all out

at least it goes and the engine works first time.
