This has happened to a friend's car, after the car was left unused for six weeks or so. The car starts fine but oil is spitting out of the dipstick tube. Sounds like a blocked breather to me. Any other possibilities anyone might care to offer?

is there too much oil in it?
I did ask that, and apparently the oil level is what it should be. The next thing to do, I suppose, is to test the compression.
