Hi all. Thanks for your advice in the past.

After blowing the head gasket at the end of last year and then getting it replaced. I ran around in the car for a bit too long before changing the oil. And it became more difficult to start from cold....it now requires a minute or 2 on

3000 revs to warm it before moving off. I had my mechanic change the oil but its still the same.

the engine has only 33600 on the clock and ran smooth before the gasket blew. Whats the likely problem?

You did change the oil filter?

I don't know what the problem is but if you carry on holding 3000 rpm on a cold engine every day, you might not have that problem for much longer.

Its probably got nothing to do with your oil but you have to ask why you are happy to spend many hundreds on fixing HG problems but are reluctant to spend £20 on an oil and filter change.

Yep. Had the oil changed 2 weeks ago...the mechanic said he did the filter too.

Time and space problem, man. My mechanic doesn't do saturdays and have to ferry 3 year old to nursery 5 days a week.

The oil could have been draining whilst the head was being bolted back on
